Part 1: Career Exploration
90 minutes – In-person |
Our executive Director will educate the participants on how to read their report that describes in detail the individual’s preferred career behaviors and the unique motivation that will drive them to identify fulfilling and rewarding career pathways. | Armed with knowledge about their unique skills, interests, and the requirements for a post pandemic job, each student will be given the time to consider career options. It’s important to remember, everyone’s career path is different, and there is no “right” way to start a career. |
Part 2: Meet the Experts
60 minutes *This session can be selected as a stand alone as well |
Before finalizing any decisions, the students will get an opportunity to learn from role models from different industries about career and educational options after high school. | Experts will provide students with personalized orientation sessions with Q&A to help them understand jobs that will serve them now and into the future in Technology, Medical, Manufacturing, Construction and Marketing. |
Online Support | As an adjunct to our in-person training, everyone will receive access to our proprietary online career course. | A self-paced tool that reinforces all the learned material through video, animation and hands on activities. |
Hero Program 2: Stress Release
According to the Kaiser Family foundation, many states have recently enacted legislation to strengthen school based mental health systems.
At Be Your Own Hero, we are committed to providing students with the tools for emotional support and have strategic partners that deliver tools in a manner that resonates with this age group.

Hero Program 3: Careers of the Future
Careers of today look so different than they looked 20, 10, or even 5 years ago! What may have been a high-growth industry when students began high school may no longer be the case.
Our Executive Director will take the students on a journey into next-generation careers to teach them about how they can identify them, what the requirements are to enter that industry, and how they can do all this research on their own as well.
